Each season, The Robobots take on the challenge of designing and building a world‑class robot for the FIRST Robotics Competition—a global program that pushes high school teams to solve complex engineering problems under real‑world constraints.
Guided by FIRST’s mission to blend creativity, teamwork, and hands‑on learning, our team approaches robot development through a subsystem‑based structure that mirrors professional engineering workflows. Mechanical and programming students collaborate within specialized groups—such as drivetrain, intake, launcher, climber, vision, and bumpers—allowing us to prototype, build, and integrate components in parallel for maximum efficiency. This multidisciplinary approach strengthens communication, accelerates problem‑solving, and helps every member understand how code, sensors, and mechanical design come together to create a high‑performance machine.
By pairing experienced leaders with new members, we ensure knowledge is passed down each season, enabling us to grow rapidly while building robots that reflect innovation, teamwork, and sustainable engineering practices.
